Hello I’m Chris Smith and coming soon to Open2.net is a new weekly half-hour science radio programme from The Naked Scientists.

In each episode we will bring you a round up of the latest discoveries from the world of science, conversations with top scientists, as well as stuff and non-science where we will be sorting fact from fiction when it comes to urban legends, scientific myths and old wives tales. Speaking of which, I’ve just swallowed my piece of chewing gum, would it really loiter in my intestines for the next seven years? Well you’ll just have to tune in this week to find out.

That’s The Naked Scientists coming soon to BBC Radio 5 Live and open2.net.

Does it sound good? Why not get the Breaking Science podcast, and receive new episodes as they're released?
