From the day we're born we embark on a learning journey. From infancy we learn from our parents and carers; later on, as we enter more structured education, teachers become our primary source of learning. As people get older and mix with others in a schoolroom it becomes apparent that different people approach learning differently. Or more precisely, what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another.

Our Learning Style is how each of us as an individual learns best. One person might prefer to read a book, another learns best if they are shown how to do a set task. The differences are as large as there are individuals on the Earth. Educators and researchers have been extremely interested how to optimise our learning experience – tailoring the learning to work best with a majority of people.

Our Learning Style survey sets out the differences in how people learn into five main categories. Each of us uses different elements of these five styles as we learn. Our strengths and weaknesses, or how we rate in the five categories gives us a picture of our overall learning style.
