Timothy VerdonTIMOTHY VERDON
Timothy Verdon is canon of Florence Cathedral. As well as being a priest, he is also an art historian. Born in America he has lived in Italy since 1994. He is an expert on Christianity and the Renaissance and on Florence Cathedral.

 

Massimo RicciMASSIMO RICCI
Massimo Ricci is a Florentine architect specialising in the restoration of monuments and historic buildings using traditional building methods. He has published several pieces of research on the construction techniques used in the dome of Florence Cathedral.

Stella Gambling is a freelance lecturer in history of art and english literature. She conducts tours of the London galleries and since 1990 she has worked for the Open University. Stella currently teaches the second level History of Art introductory course.

Caroline Elam is editor of Burlington Magazine. Her expertise lies in Florentine architecture, art, patronage and city planning in the Renaissance.

Simon Pepper
SIMON PEPPER
Simon Pepper trained as an architect. He is currently Professor of architecture and building engineering at the University of Liverpool. His two main research fields are social housing in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and fortification and development of military technology in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
