A studio debate chaired by Laurence Rees and featuring a panel of the UK's leading historians of Hitler and the Third Reich - including Professor Ian Kershaw.

It seeks to explore one of the most fundamental questions which has arisen in the wake of the Second World War - to what extent should we understand this turbulent and horrific period of history through the force of character of Hitler or through the unique circumstances of that time.
