In his final lecture, Lord Broers weighs the duties of the technologist to the rest of society: just because something can be done, should it? Who should decide where the boundaries of acceptable behaviour are?

He then turns to consider the future - which nations will lead the heirarchy of science in the years to come; and how can we ensure that the UK is amongst them?

Following the lecture, there will be a special, online programme putting some of your responses to Lord Broers. The BBC Radio 4 website has more about Reith Interactive.
