The Open University with the BBC organised a series of six regional events associated with the series. Each event took place at a coastal location and gave the opportunity to the public to take part in a presentation and guided walk and to talk with experts about their own experiences of coastal Britain.

The theme of the events was change. To highlight this there was a viewing at each location of postcards from the past. These were compared with contemporary views of the location and the changes discussed and debated.

Over the weeks, we visited the following locations:

Portsmouth
Caernarfon
Belfast
Glasgow
Whitby
Great Yarmouth

You can also take a quiz to create your own postcards from the future - what impact will your actions today have on the coast of tomorrow?
